Dyson

As Lead Experience Designer in New Product Innovation, I oversaw on-product and app experiences across Audio, Beauty, Wearables, and Robotics, managing four direct reports. Working hand-in-hand with engineering, I delivered unified digital and physical experiences and established documentation standards for consistency with external partners. I also introduced motion design to augment storytelling and validate visions directly with Jake Dyson and users.

Dyson OnTrac

I worked on the initial proposition for what became the Dyson OnTrac. Starting with the conceptualisation of different experience features ideas from wellness to entertainment. Once the project was greenlight, I oversaw the team that worked on features such as the custom EQ - directing the visual direction for the UI.

Dyson Design System (App and Wearables)

I co-developed the mobile app design system, advising on structure and visual UI in close collaboration with the UX team - working primarily on controls, alerts and notifications. I subsequently led the UI design for the Apple Watch app, creating its dedicated design system and validating user flows through interactive prototyping.

Representative imagery is used to depict work that remains confidential or unreleased.

On-product User Experience

Working across these projects, I aligned closely with engineering to bridge "blue sky" concepts with technical constraints. I utilized interactive digital mockups to validate UI flows, while collaborating with the Human Factors team to define validation protocols for physical ergonomics. Additionally, I partnered with Model Making to engineer novel prototyping solutions, testing hardware details like actuation force, tactility, and LED behavior. Most hardware projects are slated for launch in 2026.
